Description
Dracaena Variegata, or Variegated Dragon Plant as it is also known is a yellow and green striped plant with firm, attractive leathery leaves, and white flowers. In the wild, this plant grows in marshy areas that flood periodically. In a tropical aquarium, it is best used as a background plant, and with proper care this species is likely to last 2-3 months if it is totally submerged. It will cope much better in open topped aquaria where it can flourish above the waters surface, as well as in watery areas of paludariums, terrariums and vivariums. Growing up to 50cm high, it requires good lighting, moderate fertilisation, and CO2 source if completely immersed.
